Paramedics rushed to the secondary school after a child was injured. A year eight pupil needed emergency treatment following an accident on an all- weather pitch at St Hild's Church of England School in Hartlepool .
The boy was taken by ambulance to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough following the incident just before 1pm on Monday. He is currently believed to be in a stable condition.
Paul Martin, headteacher at St Hild's Church of England School, told Teesside Live : "It was a pupil that was injured during lunch time, out on the all weather pitch, in an accident. We immediately called the emergency services and informed parents.
