A Harvest man wanted for driving under the influence was caught with cocaine and marijuana Friday.
According to the Limestone County Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old James Hosea Peoples is charged with DUI, drug trafficking, and possession of marijuana.
On Friday, deputies were conducting proactive patrol operations in southern Limestone County when they say they observed a vehicle acting suspiciously.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on Highway 31 near Rosie Road after identifying the driver and sole occupant as Peoples, who was found to have an active warrant for DUI.
After being advised of the warrant, Peoples informed deputies marijuana was inside the vehicle.
The sheriff's office says deputies recovered nearly one pound of marijuana and approximately 47 grams of cocaine, a quantity
