AUSTIN, Texas — Police are searching for a driver a month after a man was dragged underneath a vehicle for several yards in East Austin.
On Monday, the Austin Police Department (APD) released a photo of the suspect's pickup truck.
APD said around 5:20 a.m. on Oct. 24, the victim was loading up his work trailer when he was hit in the 6500 block of Eastgate Road, near the U.S. 183 Toll Road. The pickup driver kept going and didn't stop to help the man.
The victim had serious injuries.
Investigators believe the driver works in the same area where the crash happened, in the Smith Road area. They said the suspect vehicle was on the southbound service road of Ed Bluestein (U.S. 183) before turning onto Eastgate Road.
The suspect vehicle is described as a four-door, dark-colored pickup truck
