NEW RUSSIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - Neighbors packed the New Russia Township Zoning Board of Commission meeting Monday night hoping to learn more about a potential zoning change.
The commission rescheduled the meeting for December 11. They are expected to vote on their recommendation for the township trustees.
Currently, the land is zoned for agricultural but could change to industrial.
The land potentially impacted is right by the Lorain County Airport near Leavitt, Russia, and Oberlin Roads.
Rumors of a mega site being built on the land remain on the horizon in the rural township.
