The grieving family of a 22-year-old man allegedly murdered in Hartlepool have said they 'can’t believe he is no longer here'. Mohammed Shaan Ali Rasul, who was known as Shaan, died inside a house on Allerton Close, in the Dyke House area of the town.

Cleveland Police and paramedics attended the street just before 10.45am on Sunday, November 23. In a heartbreaking statement, Shaan's sister spoke of her "beloved brother Shaan", stating "[we] can’t believe you are no longer here".

“You had the biggest heart a man could ever have, but our hearts are broken and heavy," she continued. "We will love you forever, our brother Shaan.”

Two men - aged 22 and 23 - were arrested on suspicion of murder the following day and one of the men has now been charged. Callum Howe, 22, of Blakelock Gardens
