A devastating three-vehicle collision in Gormanston, Co Meath, has resulted in the deaths of two drivers. Paul Conway, in his 50s, was driving a Bus Eireann bus, while Wesley O'Reilly, 48, was behind the wheel of a lorry. The incident occurred on the R132 on Monday morning, 24th November 2025.
The crash also left twelve others injured, including the driver of a car involved in the collision. Emergency services rushed the car driver to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where they remain in critical condition. Witnesses reported a significant emergency response, with at least six ambulances, medical vehicles, and several fire engines arriving at the scene.
The R132 was closed for several hours as Gardaí conducted an investigation into the incident. A Garda spokesperson confirmed, "Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending the scene of a road traffic collision at Gormanstown, Co. Meath, this morning. The R132 is currently closed with local diversions in place."
Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are particularly interested in anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, from the R132 between 5.45am and 6.45am on the day of the crash.
