IOWA CITY, Iowa — Johnson County Public Health announced it has maintained its national accreditation status through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) for another five years.
Director Danielle Pettit-Majewski expressed satisfaction with the accreditation, saying, "We are so pleased to again be recognized by PHAB for achieving national standards that foster effectiveness and promote continuous quality improvement."
PHAB, a non-profit supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, sets benchmarks for public health departments to enhance their service quality. Johnson County Public Health first earned its accreditation on March 21, 2019, after a rigorous assessment.
