Police are searching for two suspects after a pellet gun was pulled on a London man trying to buy a phone in a Guelph parking lot.
Guelph police said officers responded Thursday, just after noon, to a business on Clair Road West, after getting calls about a man with a gun in the parking lot.
Officers were able to stop a man as he was leaving the parking lot and initially arrested him. The man explained to officers he had gone to the parking lot to buy an iPhone 17, after making arrangements to meet the seller through Facebook Marketplace.
He met with the seller and her boyfriend, and after examining the phone, the man believed it was fake. When he refused to buy it, the boyfriend punched him several times and pulled out a gun.
