A 21-year-old Guelph woman has been charged with three counts of assault after allegedly hitting and spitting on a police officer.
Guelph police said officers were called to a disturbance on Fife Road Friday, just after 1 a.m., with reports of a woman damaging a neighbour’s door. Officers placed the woman under arrest and while being walked to the cruiser, she kicked one of them in the shin, police said.
When the woman was placed in the cruiser, police said she kicked the same officer twice and spit on his cheek.
Besides assault, the woman was also charged with mischief under $5,000.
She will appear in court Jan. 9.
