LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - There is a bit of a frigid feel in the air today as temperatures tumble behind a cold front. Our wintry feel continues into the work week as we track a wintry system arriving Monday night into Tuesday. Expect a mix of rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain to impact different parts of the state, which could lead to slick travel in some areas.
For our Sunday forecast, a cold front is sliding through the state, bringing a few showers along and just ahead of it. Skies will clear for a bit in the afternoon, but clouds will quickly return in the evening. Temps tumble all day long as we start in the 40s and 30s and end around dinnertime in the 30s and 20s. Windchills even dip into the teens at times.
