LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -After temperatures tumbled throughout the day today, a few lingering flakes as well as some cold drizzles are possible to wrap the weekend.
We have got a stronger system arriving Monday night into Tuesday - bringing in some accumulating snow chances.
Monday starts calmly with building cloud cover throughout the day. Temps will peak in the upper 30s with a few folks reaching the 40s.
Late on Monday evening, a winter storm system ushers in all forms of winter weather precipitation. There is a chance for accumulating snowfall the farther north and west you go in the state - but everyone will see some flying flakes. Latest model guidance has central and northern Kentucky seeing up to 4 inches of snow in places.
