LAVEEN, AZ (AZFamily) — A woman riding a horse was hit by a car in the Laveen neighborhood of Phoenix on Saturday night.
Just after 10:30 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the area of 35th Avenue and Dobbins Road for reports of a horseback rider who was hit by a car.
While neither the horse’s rider nor the driver of the vehicle was hurt, the horse suffered serious injuries and was “humanely euthanized” at the owner’s request, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
