PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Travelers planning to fly out of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Sunday should prepare for possible delays and cancellations as winter storms freeze some flights in the Midwestern United States.
Winter storm warnings that brought heavy snow to midwestern states Saturday and early Sunday are shifting into southeastern Canada, according to the National Weather Service. Snow will taper off through the day, but some snow will linger downwind of the Great Lakes, where a few more inches are possible.
As of 10:30 a.m., 11 flights had been canceled, and more than 110 delays were reported from Sky Harbor, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. A full list of the airport’s flight delays and cancellations can be found here .
