PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Flying to Asia from Arizona is about to be much easier.
China Airlines is introducing the first-ever nonstop flight from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
The inaugural flight is scheduled for Dec. 3, and the flight is scheduled to depart three times per week: on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Sky Harbor officials said this first nonstop route to Asia will provide a much-needed connection for travelers.
The China Airlines flight is set to be operated on an Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 306 passengers and a three-class configuration.
Earlier this year, STARLUX Airlines announced that it was teaming up with American Airlines to offer the Phoenix-Taipei route. STARLUX is expected to begin service in early 2026.
