The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted speed limit and vehicle restrictions on all roads in the southcentral PennDOT District 8 region, consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.
PennDOT sent its announcement around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Due to the winter storm impacting the region, PennDOT temporarily restricted certain vehicles from using some interstates earlier Tuesday to help ensure the interstates remained open during the most challenging conditions of the winter storm.
