Jim Tuman, a Michiganian who helped countless youths and adults cope with life's trials through his renowned public speaking skills, has died, his family said.
Tuman passed away Nov. 12, with his wife Janet at his side, according to his obituary by A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Directors. The cause and place of death were not immediately available. He was 84.
Tuman had been a public speaker, enthusiastically sharing his message around the world since his 30s, according to his obituary. His work mainly focused on challenges like self-worth, poverty, teen violence and suicide. Over the years, he had spoken to more than 2 million young people, making stops in every U.S. state, nine foreign countries and more than 2,000 schools, his obituary and website said.
