DETROIT – Home has been hostile territory for the Detroit Red Wings lately. With a season-long six-game road trip approaching, they desperately needed to leave town with a shot of confidence and a victory.

They got just that on Tuesday. Moritz Seider scored a goal and assisted on two others and John Gibson made 32 saves for a 5-4 victory over the Boston Bruins at Little Caesars Arena.

The Red Wings (14-11-2) stopped a four-game slide (0-3-1). It was also much-needed relief for Gibson, who was 0-5-1 over his past seven appearances since his most recent win on Oct. 28.

Alex DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond each tallied a goal and an assist. James van Riemsdyk and Ben Chiarot scored goals. Patrick Kane provided two assists.
