An Atlantic County man was sentenced to 18 years in state prison on Monday after he admitted to sexually assaulting multiple minors.

Jose Castro-Vega, 60, of Pleasantville, was sentenced on convictions of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and criminal contact following a guilty plea deal in July, authorities said. He will not be eligible for parole.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office was contacted on Oct. 27, 2023, alleging that Castro-Vega was engaging in sexual conduct with a juvenile.

Investigators initially determined Castro-Vega had abused at least eight juveniles since 2021.

After additional victims came forward, the total rose to 11.
