Li Xiufeng's neighbours were heartbroken when the revered village elder died at the age of 95.

She had recently taken a terrible tumble, sustaining severe head injuries, so when she was discovered lifeless and still in bed on a freezing winter's morning, neighbours declared her deceased and started making arrangements for her final farewell.
