Michigan State football enters a new era with new coach Pat Fitzgerald replacing Jonathan Smith in East Lansing. And following Fitzgerald will be one of the nation's top 50 recruiting classes as college football's early signing period begins.
MSU enters Wednesday with 19 prospects committed to the 2026 roster, which includes five four-star recruits. That gives the Spartans the No. 39-ranked recruiting class in the nation, according to 247 Sports' composite rankings.
That's a significant upgrade from 2025, when Michigan State had the No. 57-ranked recruiting class .
