Birmingham City Council is to consider launching its own probe into claims of potential criminality by a city-based company providing housing for homeless people.
Administrators investigating the financial collapse of Midland Livings, apparently with debts of more than £12m, exposed allegations of threats, deception, arson and intimidation in an official progress report.
The activities of the firm are largely funded through enhanced housing benefits via the 'exempt' supported housing sector.
