Van Buren, N.Y. — All lanes of Interstate 690 South are closed Wednesday morning after a multi-vehicle crash near Exit 4 in Van Buren.
Around 7:52 a.m., the crash happened on the stretch of I-690 at the Van Buren Road and County Route 159 exit, according to 511NY reports. All lanes heading south are now closed.
Onondaga County 911 dispatchers said at least five vehicles were involved, and several smaller accidents occurred nearby as drivers tried to avoid the main crash.
No serious injuries were reported, according to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for State Police. She said a traffic diversion is in place and the roadway remains open, but drivers should expect delays for about an hour and a half.
