TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Toledo man has been convicted after police say he stabbed and cut a woman at Hollywood Casino in Toledo, then took off in her car.

Jonathan Brown, 38, of Toledo, pleaded guilty to a felonious assault charge on Dec. 1, according to court records. In exchange for his guilty plea, other charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle and domestic violence will be dropped at sentencing.

Charging documents allege he used a knife to “stab and cut up” a woman he knows in the Hollywood Casino parking lot on Aug. 9. Police allege he then took off from the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Police records said the victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds.

Brown is due back in court for sentencing on Dec. 16.
