STOW, Ohio — An officer was hurt with minor injuries on Wednesday after a man with multiple violent offense warrants fled from a traffic stop, according to the Stow Police Department.

Police said the incident began just before noon when officers conducted a traffic stop on Darrow Road.

During the stop, they learned the man had several active warrants. He then allegedly fled, driving down Stow Road, before police said he ran on foot near Bryn Mawr Drive.

According to the department, the man ran through several backyards and continued north along Klein Avenue. Officers found him within minutes inside a resident’s garage.

Police said it took about an hour to take the man into custody. Pepperball rounds and a camera drone were used during the incident.
