PLAINVILLE, CT (WFSB) - A multi-vehicle crash closed a lane on Route 72 east in Plainville on Tuesday morning.

The state Department of Transportation said the left lane was closed just before exit 4b.

The crash was first reported around 8:05 a.m.

There was no word on injuries or a cause.
