Central Pennsylvania is bracing for one of the hottest days of the summer on Friday, with heat index values expected to reach or exceed 100 degrees, prompting a heat advisory for multiple counties in the region.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday for several counties in south central Pennsylvania, including areas near and southeast of the I-99/US-220 corridor. That includes the following counties: Fulton, Franklin, Perry, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster.
