NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- It’s another sweltering day in New Jersey, and families are finding creative ways to stay cool amid the soaring temperatures.
At Newport Green Park, children and families enjoyed the splash pad, playing in the cool water and running through misty tunnels to escape the heat, while people in downtown New Jersey sought shade and stocked up on water bottles.
Laura Altybayeda, a mother at the park with her young son, shared her perspective on handling the heat. "Oh, it’s hot, but I like it to be honest with you," she said. “I think he got used to this heat because during the summer, it feels like multiple heatwaves.”
