SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - A 14-year-old was taken into custody after allegedly shooting at a 13-year-old from a vehicle.

According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, they responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 5:26 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29 in the 1300 block of West Murray Lane.

Witnesses reported that shots were fired from a gold Chevrolet Malibu with multiple occupants.

According to DPS, a 14-year-old suspect allegedly fired shots at a 13-year-old. They say the victim had “very minor injuries” and is expected to recover; however, it’s unknown if the injuries were caused by the shots fired or as they were fleeing for safety.
