SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Wednesday afternoon and evening were hot and very humid with a few isolated showers and storms. Many locations had highs in the upper 90s to 100°F.

Heat index values were 105°-110°F. Locations that received some rain in the late afternoon and evening were able to cool off significantly.

A LOOK AHEAD

More summer heat is in the local forecast for Thursday and Friday. Afternoon highs will top out in the mid and upper 90s with heat index values over 105°F both afternoons.

A heat advisory has been issued for most of the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry Thursday afternoon and into the evening.
