CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Medic on Wednesday said it has finalized agreements with three Mecklenburg County municipalities, the Town of Huntersville, the City of Charlotte, and the Town of Cornelius.

Town leaders in Cornelius highlighted their concerns with the emergency service at a recent board of commissioners meeting.

The Town of Cornelius, its fire department, and Medic have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding, basically an agreement between those three agencies to continue their partnership while a study on how to improve the county’s EMS system will determine their future.

With signatures in place emergency services will go on for the next 90 days as Medic continues work to improve the EMS system.
