Omaha's Weather Leader has deemed Friday a severe weather day for dangerous heat, while Saturday and Sunday are impact weather days for storm chances.

High temperatures in the 90s are expected Friday. Heat indices are possible between 105° - 110°. Take precaution to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade if working outdoors.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for eastern Nebraska and western Iowa from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
