TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The first day of school means a lot more people are on the roads
With the increased traffic, law enforcement is sounding the alarm through a new campaign for drivers to make the right decisions while behind the wheel this new school year.
Alabama State Troopers kicked off the Back to Safety campaign for students returning to school this week.
“This is the time of year when we see an increase volume of traffic, including new and experienced drivers,” Corporal Reginald King said. “We encourage everyone to be patient. Share the roadway.”
Corporal Reginal King wants them to slow down and stay alert in school zones, obeying school zone speed limits, as well as residential neighborhoods.
