BENNINGTON, Neb. —

Three suspects were taken into custody by Douglas County deputies as part of an investigation into a series of car thefts in Bennington.

Around 1:20 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a call for suspicious parties going through cars in the area of North 4th and North 158th streets in Bennington, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.

Officials said the caller provided video footage of two suspects attempting to break into their vehicle. One suspect was wearing all black clothing and a surgical mask, and the other was wearing a hoodie with a skull on it.
