LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A new Lenoir County SPCA shelter manager has been hired weeks after the organization fired its former manager, and WITN talked with the new leader about the work being done at the shelter.
Before the Lenoir County SPCA opened its doors Monday, volunteers and employees made sure everything was in order for those looking to adopt.
Among those helping was David Wiggins, the shelter’s new manager.
“They always say once you find something you love to do, you never work a day in your life, and that’s what’s happening now,” Wiggins told WITN.
On Saturday, the shelter announced that Wiggins would take over the role.
