HONOLULU (Island News) – The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) arrested a man following a reported armed robbery that occurred in the Palolo area on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

According to HPD, the incident happened at approximately 12:10 p.m. when officers responded to Waiomao Road.

A 76-year-old man reported that an unknown man entered his home, held a gun to his head, and demanded money from him. The unknown man then took the 76-year-old’s personal property before leaving the scene.

Through investigation, Robbery Detectives identified the suspect as a 43-year-old man.

On Monday, just before midnight, District 5 Crime Reduction Unit officers located and arrested the 43-year-old man for Robbery in the First Degree.

Charges will be sought with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.
