LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Southern Indiana authorities conducted a joint training exercise at Corydon Central Junior High School using "narcotics training aids" last week.
Harrison County Sheriff Nick Smith said at the end of the training, the master instructor returned all of the training aids to the officers; however, one of the officers did not conduct a proper inventory to make sure he had everything.
One of the teachers then found the training drugs in her classroom before school started. Smith said she immediately told the school resource officer and gave it to him.
He added all canine officers checked their inventory, and everything else was accounted for.
