KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested on Tuesday after throwing a meth out of his car during a traffic stop.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office pulled over a car being driven by 56-year-old Jeffery Burger on Highway 33 near Carr Ridge Road on Tuesday.

As detectives were approaching the car, CCSO said narcotics were thrown out of a car window. It was later found to be a large amount of meth.

Burger was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for sale and delivery.
