ATLANTA — Small business owners and those in private nonprofit organizations affected by Hurricane Helene in Georgia still have time to apply for federal disaster loans.
The United States Small Business Administration's (SBA) deadline to apply for the loans is Sept. 15, about a year after the storm devastated parts of the Peach State These low-interest loans will help offset economic losses caused by the storm
SBA's Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, nurseries and PNP's with financial losses directly impacted by Helene.
Unfortunately, SBA is unable to provide disaster loans to agricultural producers, farmers or ranchers, except for small aquaculture enterprises.
