CLEVELAND — In the halls of MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute , you'll find 20-year-old Brody Frye. Despite suffering a devastating accident just three weeks ago, he always brings a positive outlook that defies his circumstances.
A Life Forever Changed
On July 27, Brody pulled over with car trouble on Route 2 in Huron when he was rear-ended by another driver. The impact left him with a T-10 complete spinal cord injury -- something doctors at MetroHealth Medical Center say they only see about once a year.
"It's all kind of a blur to me," Brody recalls of that day. "Next thing you know, I'm getting flown out to a hospital."
The young man now has no feeling from his stomach down and may never walk again. For most people his age, such news would be devastating.
