The team from Sioux Falls kicked off its run at the Little League World Series on Aug. 14 with a huge pitching performance from Maxen Snoozy.
The pitcher tossed a complete game one-hitter, racking up 11 strikeouts in Team Midwest's 2-0 victory over Team Mid-Atlantic in Williamsport, PA.
Sioux Falls got on the board early and held strong the rest of the way to come out on top in their first game of the competition. In the top of the first, Camden Tycz hit a line drive double to center to bring in Devin Aukes to score. Shortly after, Kenson Henderson powered a ball into right field to bring Tycz around to score.
