FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — Police called off a pursuit that started in Freetown and eventually led through Berkley, Dighton, and Somerset overnight, Freetown police said.
Chief Scott Rose said his officers stopped a motorcycle just after 1:30 a.m. on South Main Street Sunday, and then pursued the vehicle when it took off.
Police said officers in Freetown observed reckless driving and multiple traffic violations.
Officers in Berkley, Dighton, and Somerset continued to pursue the motorcycle, but terminated the pursuit for safety reasons, Rose said.
Police have not identified the motorcycle operator and officers are still looking for the motorcycle as of Sunday morning, Rose said.
Nobody was hurt and there was no property damage reported as a result of the pursuit, Rose said.
