EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A Tennessee man is in the Vanderburgh County Jail after Evansville Police say he was drunk when he ran headfirst into another vehicle.
Officers were called to the corner of South Burkhardt Avenue and Williamsburg Drive at 8:02 p.m. Saturday.
When they arrived, a witness told police they saw 47-year-old Todd Hanks go straight out of the southbound turn lane on Burkhardt, driving into the other car.
While questioning Hanks, he told police he had two drinks earlier.
Both Hanks and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to officers, they found an empty water bottle in Hanks’s car that smelled like alcohol.
At the hospital, EPD says Hanks answered “no comment” to all of their questions, and blood was taken to test for
