A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Sunday at 5:58 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 6:30 p.m. for Klamath Basin.

The storms may bring wind gusts of up to 30 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches).

"At 5:57 p.m., a strong thunderstorm was reported near Klamath Falls, moving south at 10 mph," says the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible."

The alert is for Klamath Falls, Olene and Altamont.

The weather service comments, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building."
