FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 45-year-old Fort Wayne mother is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly hiding her missing son, who was in the Department of Child Services’ care.
Angie Harlan is charged with two counts of neglect, one count of confinement, one count of intimidation and one count of false informing. The charges carry a potential prison sentence of nearly 20 years.
Police contacted Harlan when her son was reported missing earlier this month, according to court records obtained by 21Investigates. She allegedly denied having the boy twice before two officers and a DCS case worker went into a home she was at and found him under a bed.
The boy told police Harlan kept him locked in a closet and made him urinate in a Pringles can so he wouldn’t be found, court documents say
