OMAHA, Neb. —
Two people were arrested by Nebraska state troopers after a pursuit in Omaha early Wednesday morning.
Around 12:45 a.m., a trooper saw a Volkswagen Passat speeding on Highway 75 north of downtown Omaha, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
Officials said the trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled northbound. The trooper pursued for a short distance until the Omaha Police Department's Able 1 helicopter took over the pursuit from the air.
The Nebraska State Patrol said Able 1 tracked the vehicle for about 50 minutes as the driver continued driving recklessly and nearly collided with other vehicles.
The vehicle traveled between Nebraska and Iowa multiple times before a trooper was able to successfully stop the vehicle using stop sticks on Interstate 480 near
