RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The owner of a popular Raleigh restaurant is fighting stage four cancer thousands of miles from the Triangle. Now, his children are turning to the community for help to bring him home to spend time with his family.
Marcel Jara misses his dad. They loved working side-by-side in the family restaurant, Arepa Culture, sharing some of their favorite Venezuelan foods with the Raleigh community.
Jara’s dad, Pedro Rodriguez, came to North Carolina from Venezuela when he was in his 20s.

Rodriguez had a dream of his own, one he realized about 10 years ago opening Arepa Cult
