MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Shelby County Commission on Monday will discuss the arrival of the National Guard in Memphis.
Two different resolutions will be discussed during the commissioners' meeting. One deals with how commissioners want to see the guardsmen used in the city, while the other simply says commissioners do not want the National Guard in Memphis.

The first resolution is sponsored by Commissioner Charlie Caswell and lists how the National Guard should be used in the city. It says that the guardsmen should be used to support local law enforcement. This includes for security at big events, removing blight and revitalizing neighborhoods.
