Plan on near-normal weather rolling in this week as a cooler pattern shifts in behind a cold front. Our next weather concern is not rain! Instead, we will have to protect our temperature sensitive plants outside as a round of frost or a deep freeze will develop late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning in this area. It's a good idea to bring potted plants into the garage or tuck them close to the house. Blanketing plants with a sheet is also effective.

Mostly sunny with a few more afternoon clouds Tuesday. The highs, even by the lakeshore, will be in the middle and upper 60s. NW winds from 5 to 15 miles per hour, and could get a bit breezier in the afternoon when our next weak front shifts through.
