RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Raleigh man is facing two felony counts for assaulting emergency personnel.

According to an arrest warrant, Kameron Gilchrist, 25, sprayed HIV blood into the eyes of two UNC Rex Hospital employees causing irritation and exposure to HIV on March 21, 2025.

Gilchrist was not arrested until Sept. 11.

According to the arrest warrant, Gilchrist was being treated for diabetic reasons at the time of the incident.

He was given a $25,000 bond on Oct. 2 and is due back in court on Dec. 8.
