(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- After more scattered rain Tuesday morning, the afternoon and evening turned out much drier. Spotty light rain or drizzle can't be ruled out overnight and Wednesday morning, but it won't be anything heavy to get in the way of your commute.
Low pressure and a cold front will be on the move Wednesday, bringing a final round of some heavier showers and possibly a thunderstorm. By late afternoon, some of that rain will be working into the mountains and foothills, then over the Charlotte metro and Piedmont late into the evening. It'll be another breezy day with highs only in the mid-50s.
